Chicago Hotspots with Outdoor Seating

During the summer, we all want to spend as much time as possible outside. Maximize your fun in the sun by hanging out at one of these Chicago hotspots that not only boast some of the best food in the city, but also incredible patios.

When you’re craving an authentic French crepe, nothing beats La Crêperie, a Lakeview institution that’s been around since 1972. The crepes range from simple (a plain buttered crepe) to decadent (shrimp and scallops in a cream sauce), and everything between. With soft music floating in the Chicago breeze, you’re sure to fall in love with La Crêperie, sans doute!

You can find La Crêperie at 2845 N Clark St.

With both a set year-round menu and rotating seasonal dishes, you can discover something new and different during every visit to Salpicón. They were voted Best Wine List of 2014 by World of Fine Wine, and their margaritas are as perfectly mixed as they are strong.

You can find Salpicón at 1252 N Wells St.

Piccolo Sogno

Piccolo Sogno masterfully channels the essence of rustic dining that Italy is so famous for right here in Chicago. You can ask your server for a wine pairing to go along with your meal as well, and with over 400 Italian wine selections, you won’t want for a thing. The patio is one of the most gorgeous we’ve seen, with flowers and vines draped from the pergola.

You can find Piccolo Sogno at 464 N Halsted St.

While Chicago may be way up above the Mason-Dixon Line, Carriage House has a handle on what they call “low country” fare, and it’s darn delectable! This spot is all about small plates so you can taste a little bit of everything. Chow down on some catfish while you catch some rays!

You can find Carriage House at 1700 W Division St.
