Since laws changed in 2008, small craft distilleries have been blossoming in Seattle. Beating out established distilleries across the world for an array of prestigious awards, these distilleries are not to be missed.
Sun Liquor Distillery
Both a cocktail bar and distillery, this spot serves up tasty small-batch gin and vodka. Expertly crafted drinks are made with freshly-squeezed juices, and you’ll enjoy them in a low-key atmosphere that’s part speakeasy, part neighborhood bar.
This Capitol Hill hotspot’s spirits won triple gold in the MicroLiquor Spirit Awards. You’ll sip on gin, vodka, or bourbon, with lots of innovative variety, including Hot Pepper Vodka. When you fall in love in their tasting room (which you will), you can purchase a bottle on your way out.
Winning the World Spirits Competition for their gin the first time they entered, Copperworks is only getting better and better. With four handcrafted copper stills from Scotland dedicated to whiskey, gin, and vodka, there is plenty to sample. As a bonus, it’s just steps from the waterfront!
