October – Bank of America Chicago Marathon

This marathon has been going strong since 1977. About 45,000 runners cruise this fast and flat course that features several turns. You’ll run through 29 different neighborhoods and will definitely deserve a Chicago dog or two after.

November – Hot Chocolate 5K/15K

One of the largest 5Ks in the country, the Hot Chocolate 5K/15K follows a course through downtown Chicago and ends up at Grant Park. You’ll not only feel good about completing this race, but you’ll be greeted with tons of hot chocolate at the end. You’ll even get a chocolate medal for finishing!
