While Wrigleyville has a reputation for having both pretentious bars and those that will make you feel like you’re on spring break, we know the places you can escape to. Take a break from all the bros and the big shots and hang out with good drinks and good people at Wrigleyville’s best dive bars.
Open since 1951, this place has managed to hang onto its laid-back vibe. They come complete with darts, a pool table, and a bar you don’t have to shove your way up to. They serve up craft brews and always have the Cubs game on the big screen TVs.
With over 75 craft brews, some of which you won’t find anywhere else in Chicago, this is a beer-lover’s oasis. It’s eclectically decorated with quirky ceiling tiles and has a ton of board games for those who want to bring out their competitive side.
When you’re looking to get away from the crowd, you go to Gingerbread. One of this spot’s crowning jewels is its incredible jukebox loaded up with all of the classic hits. They also have a couple of pool tables and some excellent microbrews, perfect for a low key night.
You can find Gingerbread Tavern at 3740 N Clark St.
