Chicago’s Best Wine Shops

Chicago may be all about beer and breweries, but that doesn’t mean it skimps on wine. These shops have all you could want and more, from red to white, dessert to sparkling, Argentinian to Italian.

While this boutique-esque shop doesn’t look like your average wine store, it’s even better. This place is all about curation. The owner takes the time to select small batches of wine to suit the customers’ tastes, and is great at picking wines that won’t break the bank. We love their “6 for 60-Something” program, which gets you six new bottles each month.

You can find Perman Wine Selections at 802 W Washington Blvd.

This spot may have a small selection, but it’s constantly rotating and the focus is on wines that the staff knows you’ll love. We love that every wine is accompanied by a description and pairing suggestion so that even those new to the wine scene can make an informed purchase. There are also artisanal cheeses and specialty foods, so you can make a meal of your visit.

You can find Provenance Food and Wine at 2312 W Leland Ave.

The owner and the staff at Lush spend one full day each week tasting wines so you only have to choose from the best. With wines that represent all areas of the globe and even many lesser known varieties, you’ll find all you need. Visit on Sundays for free wine tastings, and be sure to check the schedule for classes and other events.

You can find Lush Wine and Spirits at 2232 W Roscoe St.
