Baltimore’s Best Crab Cakes

Where there is crab, there are most definitely crab cakes. Crab cakes are the perfect choice when you want all the crab with none of the mess. Wrapped up in a neat little (actually, quite large) package, the best cakes are held together with tons of succulent lump crab and not much else.

We adore the award-winning Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes at this spot, located inside Lexington Market. The area surrounding the Market is nothing to write home about, but the enormous cakes at Faidley’s are worth the trip alone. They use hardly any breading, so you get more crab per bite than anywhere else.

You can find Faidley’s at 203 N. Paca St.

While this place may be a tiny yellow blip on the radar, the crab cakes here pack a huge punch. These whopping cakes are chock full of blue crab lumps held together with just enough filler and Old Bay. Be sure to make a reservation because this well-loved spot fills up quick!

You can find Koco’s Pub at 4301 Harford Rd.

A favorite since 1972, these cakes are packed with tons of flavor and giant lumps of crab meat. It’s a family-run spot so a lot of pride is taken in doing justice to the original recipe and providing the utmost hospitality. We can guarantee that once you take a bite, you’ll be planning your next visit.

You can find Pappas at 1725 Taylor Ave.
