Chicago’s Best Gyros

Chicago has the third largest Greek population in the world, so you know the gyros here are going to be good. With so many spots to choose from both in and out of Greektown, we’ve narrowed it down for you.

Open for over 35 years, this place doesn’t skimp out on any ingredients, from the fries to the tzatziki. The award-winning gyros come in platters and daily specials, and the seasoning is on-point. For those looking to keep things a little lighter, chicken gyros are available as well.

You can find Central Gyros at 3127 N Central Ave.

This Lincoln Park favorite (lauded by Tina Fey) serves gyros in all sorts of styles, like with cheese, as a sandwich, or in a salad. When it’s nice out, we love to enjoy these on the patio of this authentic eatery. The lamb/beef slices are perfectly crisped on the edges and you can’t pass up on the Greek fries!

You can find The Athenian Room at 807 W Webster Ave.

Niko’s Drive-In

Pressed for time? The best part about grabbing a gyro from Niko’s is that you don’t even have to leave your car! You can get this salty, tzatziki-drizzled delight traditional or opt for chicken, and on the weekends it’s only $2.75, so you don’t have to break the bank.

You can find Niko’s at 2775 N Elston Ave.
