Baltimore’s Bizarre Attractions

While we love all of the usual Baltimore must-visits, venturing off the beaten path is always more fun!

Believe it or not, this big bird caused a lot of controversy in Baltimore! It still stands after permit fees, a big trial, and the resignation of former mayor Sheila Dixon. You can find it outside of Cafe Hon, a quirky Baltimore institution where you can nosh on Maryland classics, and across from HONtown, its sister gift shop.

You can find the Pink Flamingo at 1002 W 36th St.

This Camden Yard museum is dedicated to pop culture through the ages. From newspapers to Blockbuster hits, the memorabilia is impressive–it’s like a living, breathing time capsule. Gamers, TV-enthusiasts, movie buffs, and bookworms alike will appreciate this place.

You can find Geppi’s at 301 W Camden St.

It’s impossible not to stay entertained at this bizarre, eclectic museum, which features art created by amateur and self-taught artists. If you think all art museums are stuffy; think again. Exhibits like the shiny Bling Universe and the World’s First Family of Robots will have you giggling, staring, and scratching your head the whole time.

You can find the American Visionary Art Museum at 800 Key Hwy
