Chicago’s Best Indoor Pools

While summer might be over, it doesn’t mean you have to give up swimming. Whether you want to continue your lap routine or you just want to float around, Chicago has some great indoor pools that are open to the public.

While the indoor pool may not be as spectacular as the outdoor pool, this five-lane favorite does the trick when the weather’s not so great. Both serious swimmers and loungers will appreciate the workout.

You can find Portage Park at 4100 N Long Ave.

This oasis not only has a state-of-the-art lap pool but a hot tub for those cold, rainy days. You don’t need to be a member here, either–you can grab a day pass or come along with a friend. There is even a place to drop off the kids if they need to tag along.

You can find FFC at 10 S Clinton St.

You don’t have to be a guest at the hotel to swim in this Junior Olympic Pool. The space is gorgeous, and kids under 10 swim free and children up to 12 are $5, so both you and the little ones can enjoy a day of fitness and fun.

You can find the Intercontinental Chicago at 505 N Michigan Ave.
